NewsGearbox releasing Borderlands 2 DLC-only 'add-on content pack'
Gearbox Software has announced a new, comprehensive downloadable-content-only release of Borderlands 2, due out February 26 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
This does not include the actual game disc, which is required for play (online connectivity is not required).
The "Add-on Content Pack" contains bundled downloadable-content: notably, the first two campaigns, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty and Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage. It also includes the fifth playable character, the Mechromancer; the Creature Slaughter Dome battle arena; bonus weapons, such as the unlockable Gearbox Gun Pack, Skyrocket Grenade, and Mad Moxxi's "rare" rocket launcher; and a Golden Key that goes to the golden chest in Sanctuary.
Altogether, the release costs $30, which saves you about $10 on all the content, according to Gearbox.
Last month, the developer rolled out a number of automatic hot fixes for all three versions.
