NewsNetflix and Hulu Plus unlocked this week for all Xbox LIVE users
All weekend long, starting today, February 1, access to the Netflix app is unlocked on Xbox 360. The Netflix app will be unlocked so all Xbox LIVE users with a Netflix subscription can watch all weekend long. Normally, Netflix is only available for LIVE users with a Gold subscription. Silver subscriptions don't have access to the Netflix app, with or without a Netflix account. While the Netflix app will be unlocked, a Netflix subscription will still be needed to use the app. I'm assuming that this is being done in conjunction with the new Netflix original series House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey, because that's the show Major Nelson talks about in his post.
All Xbox LIVE users will also have access to Hulu AdZone to "watch your favorite commercials from this year's Super Bowl, as well as commercials from as far back as 2008."
A 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription costs $59.99, or you can get it monthly for $9.99.
