NewsWarcraft film gains Source Code director Duncan Jones
The live-action adaptation of Blizzard's World of Warcraft has it's wheels turning again. Legendary Pictures and Source Code director Duncan Jones have come together to get this zeppelin up and running.
If you've ever played World of Warcraft you know that Azeroth isn't you're regular fantasy world, everything from Humans to break-dancing Trolls to alien bipedal goat-like beings (Draenei) exists. The movie won't be an easy undertaking for any director or producer. Likely, the movie won't even get into races from later expansions, leaving Orcs and Humans, making it a little bit easier on the team.
The script, written by Charles Leavitt (Blood Diamond), is being kept far from the the public eye. Warcraft's budget is looking to be somewhere around $100 million with production said to be starting fall 2013 with a 2015 release.
I am excited to see if this film comes to fruition, I love World of Warcraft and I think that the story is pretty awesome.
