NewsGameStick updates its controller with community feedback
The GameStick has only two days to go on Kickstarter, and it has already surpassed its goal by 500%. While people flocked to yet another Android-based device for their HDTVs, the controller wasn't as well received. The community has spoken out about its design, and through suggestions, has essentially shaped the new design for the controller.
“It´s hard to believe that we launched GameStick just a few short weeks ago. The Kickstarter campaign has been a roller coaster of a ride and one which has given us more feedback than we could ever have possibly imagined.” says PlayJam´s CMO, Anthony Johnson, “We have been able to take that input and literally better shape our product to give our backers a truly bespoke creation - one which has been designed by the Kickstarter community that backed it.”
The new design now has a much more ergonomic form, extended grips and a tapered shape to allow gamers a more comfortable fit. The GameStick itself is now housed in the rear of the controller and suports an expandable 32GB microSD card slot. The GameStick Dock will allow wire-free charging, USB and HDMI ports for various peripheral support like mice and keyboards.
You still have about two days to contribute, and snag your very own GameStick. Also make sure to check out the GameStick Facebook page to vote for the final product color.
