NewsApple unveils 128GB iPad with Retina Display
As expected, Apple today announced a 128GB version fo the fourth generation iPad with Retina Display. WIth twice the storage capacity of the traditional 64GB models, this new version can hold even more content including photos, books, movies, shows, music, and apps.
“With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.”
For those who need a reminder, the fourth generation iPad features a 9.7-inch Retina display, Apple-designed A6X chip, FaceTime HD camera, and the recently updated iOS 6.1.
The new 128-gigabyte version will go on sale on Tuesday, February 5th. Pricing will start at $799 for the Wi-Fi-only model, while the model featuring either an AT&T or Verizon 4G LTE cellular connection will cost $929. This model will be available in black or white through the Apple Online Store, Apple retail stores, and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
