NewsPokémon tops the 30 best-selling games in Japan in 2012
Websites 4Gamer and Siliconera have posted the 30 top games in Japan last year based on sales.
Japanese gamers still love their Pokémon, with 2,919,977 copies of Black/White 2 sold in 2012. The rest of the top five were Animal Crossing: New Leaf, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D, and Resident Evil 6.
New Leaf and Terry's Wonderland 3D have yet to come to the U.S. The latter is still unannounced.
Resident Evil: Revelations ended the list at No. 30. The sales numbers comprise games sold from January 2 through December 30 last year.
The PlayStation 2 holds first place with total lifetime hardware sales at 21,833,215. No total number for the DS was given. The Wii sold 12,638,836 units to date, followed by the PSP with 19,453,023 units.
