NewsNetflix series 'Hemlock Grove' gets its first trailer
The American horror/thriller TV series from executive producer Eli Roth got its first trailer. The Netflix exclusive Hemlock Grove is based on Brian McGreevy's novel of the same title, which released on March 27, 2012. McGreevy and Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever) adapted the book to a TV series, and Netflix finalized a deal for a 13-episode series order.
Hemlock Grove is set in a small Pennsylvania steel town (hope there aren't any Steelers fans in it) that isn't quite the city it used to be. The death of a 17-year-old girl starts an investigation into the town's secrets, which includes supernatural evil, sex and manipulation. Did I mention that one of the characters is rumored to be a werewolf?
It sounds like a mix between American Horror Story, True Blood and Grimm with Eli Roth's style added to it. It has a robust cast of Famke Janssen, Dougray Scott, Bill Skarsgard, Landon Liboiron, Penelope Mitchell and Freya Tingley. Netflix will be releasing all 13 episodes at once on April 19.
