Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 makes way for the ladies

Golf is no longer a male-only sport, as much as some of the older grumps and higher-ups want it to be. The times, they are a-changin'. Female golfers are gaining respect in this once male-dominated sport and EA's new game is giving way. For the first time in the history of the golf game franchise, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 will introduce the LPGA Tour.

Female created golfers can now compete on the LPGA and attempt to become a major champion by winning the Kraft Nabisco Championship. There are five playable LPGA golfers including 2012's Rolex Player of the Year, Stacy Lewis. The other remaining female golfers are unknown.

Having worked for one of the best female golfers of all time — Annika Sorenstam — I can testify that this feature is long overdue. The female side of the sport is growing at a rapid pace, with some females even competing on the male side of the tour. Having seen legends like Annika play, and even some of the young up-and-coming females, I can say the LPGA will only get better and more talented. It's a little sad that the roster only includes five female golfers, but at least it's a start.
