Super Hexagon, VVVVVV dev cancels Nexus City, Selma's Story

It's a sad day, indie game fans. VVVVVV and Super Hexagon creator Terry Cavanagh has scrapped two projects he had planned and was previously working on. Insert my sigh of disbelief and sadness.

Nexus City was an RPG that Cavanagh first started working on back in 2010. He was working alongside writer Jonas Kyratzes on that project, but it now looks like all plans for it are completely scrapped.

The other title, Selma's Story, was actually a spin-off of Nexus City. That game's development time came out to a total of two months, and Cavangh figured it was time to call it quits to focus on other things.

It's a shame that we'll likely never see either of these, especially when you take into account the fact that Nexus City featured "an amazing world with an amazing story" according to Cavangh. That said, the dude's totally been busy, and it goes without saying that the time off he intends on taking now is certainly justified.

I truly hope we haven't seen or heard the last of either Nexus City or Selma's Story.
