Amazon has assembled their "Best of 2012 in Gaming" list. The editors have narrowed it down to 20 games, complete with links to buy them at discounted prices -- how convenient! To compile the list, Amazon Games' editors use their judgment, as well as user reviews, "to ensure our choices were in line with the opinions of our customers." So, if anything, user feedback had a larger role in this Best of 2012 list than most other lists. The games on the list, their prices and consoles are:

  1. Journey Collector's Edition $46.99 PlayStation 3.
  2. Borderlands 2 $49.99 Xbox 360, $45 PlayStation 3, and $29.99 PC download.
  3. XCOM: Enemy Unknown $50.41 Xbox 360, $45 PlayStation 3, $24.99 PC download.
  4. Dishonored $39.99 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
  5. Mass Effect 3 $20.99 Xbox 360, $21.19 PlayStation 3, $14.99 PC download.
  6. The Walking Dead $47.45 Xbox 360, $29.99 PlayStation 3, $24.99 PC download.
  7. Halo 4 $50.05 Xbox 360.
  8. Darksiders 2 $39.90 Xbox 360, $29.90 PlayStation 3, $24.99 PC download.
  9. Hotline Miami $7.49 PC download.
  10. The Last Story $29.99 Wii.
  11. Need for Speed: Most Wanted $53.93 Xbox 360, $49.92 PlayStation 3, $29.99 PC download.
  12. Gravity Rush $34 PlayStation Vita.
  13. Diablo 3 $59.95 PC DVD.
  14. Guild Wars 2 $57.60 PC DVD, $59.99 PC download.
  15. Sleeping Dogs $29.02 Xbox 360, $44.25 PlayStation 3, $37.49 PC download.
  16. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward $39.99 Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.
  17. Assassin's Creed 3 $50.94 Xbox 360, $50.25 PlayStation 3, $49.99 PC download.
  18. Max Payne 3 $35.25 Xbox 360, $29.49 PlayStation 3, $24.29 PC download.
  19. Lumines: Electronic Symphony $23.49 PlayStation Vita.
  20. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 $49.99 Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, $47.99 PC download.

Diablo 3 made the list? And Telltale's The Walking Dead should definitely be higher, considering it won multiple Game of the Year awards. If you're interested in purchasing any of the above games that made Amazon's list, you can find them HERE.
