NewsCall of Duty: Black Ops 2 beats Halo 4 for most activity on Xbox LIVE last week
Major Nelson reported today that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 reigned supreme for Xbox LIVE activity last week. Activision's popular shooter was the most popular Xbox LIVE title based on unique users. It beat out Halo 4 (#2), Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (#3) and FIFA Soccer 13 (#4). Even more surprising to me was that Far Cry 3 had only the 14th most activity. Even funnier is that there were four Call of Duty titles in the top 10: Black Ops II, Modern Warfare 3 (#5), Black Ops (#6) and Modern Warfare 2 (#10).
The top three arcade titles were Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, the new MOBA from Monolith, Guardians of Middle-earth, and VGA Game of the Year, The Walking Dead. Last but not least, the top Indie Game was CastleMiner Z. Note that for the Arcade and Indie Games, only full versions purchased count towards the unique users -- demos and trials don't count.
