NewsAssassin's Creed movie may release in 2013
The Assassin's Creed movie, starring Prometheus star Michael Fassbender, may debut as early as next year.
"Another thing that is very important for the lifecycle is the transmedia offer," Ubisoft's chief sales and marketing officer Geoffroy Sardin told Gamesindustry.biz. "All the figurines, the books, the publishing, and we have a movie in the next coming year. So it’s not only about games. We are talking about a global brand, and this is the life cycle management we want to set up now.”
This hints at a release window for the film — which is being fast-tracked — in either 2013 or 2014 (if you consider the fiscal year).
Assassin's Creed 3, the latest entry in the video game series, released late last month on October 30. It hits Wii U on its launch date of November 18 and PC on November 20.
