NewsPS Vita hits another all-time low in Japanese sales
In what can only be called a shocker of a situation, the Vita has hit yet another all-time low as far as sales are concerned in Japan. Okay, so that's probably not all that surprising, but it certainly is noteworthy.
For the period between October 8 and October 14, Sony's handheld gaming device managed to squeeze out 6,134 sales. Sure, that would provide plenty of pizza money for someone like me, but for a corporation like Sony, it's certainly not good. It's especially devastating when compared to the 70,300 3DS units sold within the same period of time.
We've still got the big holiday 2012 season to look forward to, and you have to believe that Sony wants to get its portable out there. Whether that will happen remains to be seen. It's a bit saddening because the Vita is most certainly an impressive piece of technology, but it just doesn't seem to have the ample footing to get folks behind it.
Last week, we reported that the Vita had managed to finally break the one million sales mark in Japan after being available for 42 weeks. I'm certain a lot of individuals, myself included, would like to see things turn around for the system.
