NewsMedal of Honor: Warfighter's Frostbite 2 is 'the best FPS engine', claims EA
The Frostbite 2 engine, which was used to power Battlefield 3 and new upcoming first person shooter Medal of Honor: Warfighter has been touted by EA as "the best FPS engine out there."
Writing on theMedal of Honor: Warfighter blog, EA promised an "awesome experience as the striking visuals and exciting audio plunge you right into the boots of a Tier 1 Operator."
"With the Frostbite 2 engine bringing extensive visual detail along with elaborate sound effects, you should be in for the most authentic action and fleshed out scenery, all within real locations from around the world."
Honestly, what else would you expect EA to say? They are trying to increase hype for the game; you wouldn't expect them to say 'well, it's alright, but there's definitely better'. I just find it odd that this comes after Treyarch referred to the Call of Duty game engine as "gorgeous".
To help prove their point, a new batch of Medal of Honor: Warfighter were released. What do you think? Best FPS engine there is?
