News[NYCC 2012] 'You won't be disappointed' with DmC Devil May Cry, assures Capcom
Regardless of what you currently think of DmC Devil May Cry or the new Dante, Capcom wants you to know that "you won't be disappointed".
Speaking during the "World of Capcom" panel at New York Comic Con, Product Manager Karl Reader told "those of you saying 'it's not the old Dante; it's not that good anymore', you're wrong. Very very wrong."
"You won't be disappointed," he left off. "I assure you."
During the panel, Capcom showed off a new trailer for DmC Devil May Cry showing off some of the gameplay.
"This is a rebirth and re-imagination of the DmC universe," Reader explained. "It's a completely fresh take on all things DmC; however, that doesn't mean it has none of the previous elements of the past franchise."
"You're still going to get that aerial combat and combat chaining," he assured fans, "but at the same time we've added a ton of new stuff. The new characters, Kat, being one of them, is a member of the Order - a vigilante group who, with the help of Vergil and Dante, are trying to take down the demons."
We still need to go hands-on with DmC Devli May Cry, but from what we saw in the trailer and what Reader is promising, we could be in for quite a treat with this one.
