NewsRetro City Rampage arrives next week, more versions to follow
Finally, Retro City Rampage has a release date.
The game is coming first to PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and PC next Tuesday, Oct. 9. According to developer Vblank Entertainment, WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade versions will follow later this year.
For $14.99, you can get both PlayStation versions together. The PC version of the game costs the same price, and you can find it on GOG.com, Steam, or Vblank's website if you prefer both a DRM-free download and a choice of Steam or GOG key.
Retro City Rampage is also releasing in Europe for PS3 and Vita this month, although a specific date has yet to be set.
The indie title began in 2002 as a homebrew and NES "demake" of Grand Theft Auto 3 called "Grandtheftendo." It evolved into Retro City Rampage when creator Brian Provinciano started Vblank Entertainment in 2009.
