NewsAssassin's Creed 3 'Boston Tea Party' trailer teaches us about history
Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed 3 aimed at providing a "deeper understanding of the event that started the revolution and the birth of a nation". Given the game's new Colonial America setting and its deep involvement in the American Revolution, it's only fitting that they release a trailer for the famed Boston Tea Party. As you'll soon see, this is no ordinary party.
The trailer hardly shows any gameplay footage (8 seconds to be exact), but you do get a nice little history lesson along with beautifully drawn pictures. Who says you can't learn anything from video games?
For those unfamiliar with U.S. History, the Boston Tea Party took place in 1773. The American colonies who, at the time, were under British rule grew restless of the empire's enforced law and taxes. In an act of solidarity, the American colonists took a stand and stuck it to the British by destroying British imports, boycotting their taxes, and halting their tyrannical momentum.
In Assassin's Creed 3, you will relive this and other historical events when it releases on October 30.
