Players are reporting a nasty bug in Borderlands 2 that resets your badass rank.

The glitch wipes the number of badass tokens you have collected, but it doesn't re-open the challenges you cleared to get them. Items and upgrades purchased with the tokens are also disappearing, but the points aren't returning to the player's total.

Complaints on the game's forums indicate that the issue is common across all three versions: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Gearbox Software is looking into the problem. Hopefully, they can recover the lost tokens. In the meantime, players have suggested solutions for both the 360 and PS3.
