Nintendo has announced that the next European edition of Nintendo Direct will take place on Thursday, September 13, coinciding with the planned Wii U press event that will be held in New York City the same day.

Like the press event, the Nintendo Direct broadcast will focus on the Wii U. For those looking for a preview of Nintendo's new console, it will be streamed directly from the Nintendo website beginning at 3:00pm UK time.

During the event, Nintendo of Europe President Satoru Shibata will take a closer look at the upcoming Wii U console. It hasn't been confirmed, but it is widely expected that Nintendo will reveal the eagerly awaited launch details for the Wii U, particularly the release date and price.

As for the scheduled preview event in New York City, it will be hosted by Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. The presentation will address "how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment."
