NewsAww, yeah! Terraria headed to XBLA and PSN with new content
I called it yesterday, didn't I? After developer Re-Logic announced that it had a special reveal to make, I said it would be great to see Terraria get the home console treatment. Well, that's exactly what's happened, folks!
This morning, Re-Logic announced that it would take its wonderful sandbox action-adventure title to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. But that's not all, because the studio also revealed that the game, which has already sold 1.6 million copies on the PC, would be hitting the console space with brand new content.
"Stop what you're doing immediately — #Terraria IS COMING TO XBLA & PSN WITH BRAND NEW CONTENT!" tweeted Re-Logic in what may very well be the tweet that has brought me the most joy this year.
I was very glad to support Terraria on the PC last year. Now, I look forward to supporting the game on consoles. It's great to see that this lovely gem will be available to a wider audience.
The console version of Terraria is due out in early 2013, and it's being published by 505 Games.
