NewsFirst pic of Lord Elrond in 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey'
As The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey release date of December 14th approaches us, we are sure to see more trailers and images from the movie. Iconic characters and unknowns alike will both be brought to light. Thanks to Rope of Silicon, I can share with you the first look at Hugo Weaving's character Lord Elrond — of of the few characters from The Lord of the Rings trilogy that make an appearance in The Hobbit.
Other actors from The Lord of the Rings returning to Middle-Earth include Christopher Lee, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Orlando Bloom, and Cate Blanchett, but it's not known which of the three Hobbit movies they will appear in, or how long their character will be in the film. The movie will revolve around Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Ian McKellan as Gandalf, and Richard Armitrage as Thorin Oakenshield.
