NewsMinecraft Xbox 360 Edition 1.8.2 update still 'weeks away'
Update 1.8.2 for Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition, which will add the coveted Creation Mode to the console version, is still "weeks away", according to developer 4J Studios.
4J Studios, who is handling the console version of Minecraft on Xbox 360, updated fans on the progress of the 1.8.2 update, writing on Twitter: "We're still working on 1.8.2. A few things left to add, more work on the Creative Mode interface, then lots of test."
"Still weeks away..." they added.
The 1.8.2 update is "quite a substantial one", according to 4J's head of research and development Richard Reavy. That could explain the amount of time it is taking.
1.8.2 is indeed a major one. Dubbed the "Adventure Update" when it released for PC, 1.8.2 on Xbox 360 will add the new creative game mode, NPC villages, Strongholds, Abandoned Mine Shafts, Ravines. Enderman were also added in the 1.8 update for PC, so we'll have to see if they will make it into this update.
