NewsMass Effect 3 Wii U to run at 720p
Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U will run at 720p and not the previously reported 1080p, according to Straight Right, the Australian-based studio developing the Wii U version.
Tom Crago, the CEO of Straight Right, set the record straight, telling Nintendo World Report that the game "will run at 720p".
While disappointing to hear, Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U offers plenty of other features that make it a worthy title to pick up at launch like a new control scheme designed to incorporate the Wii U GamePad, bonus DLC including the already-released Extended Cut, and interactive story that not only covers the previous events in the Mass Effect universe, but also lets you make decisions that will affect the story in Mass Effect 3. It will also contain the brand new multiplayer component.
Speaking of 1080p, in July it was claimed that Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed 3 both run in high-definition 1080p on the Wii U.
