NewsiPhone 5 is 'almost here', Apple teases upcoming event on September 12
It looks like the iPhone 5 is "almost here" — at least that's what a invitation sent to the media from Apple would have us believe.
Apple has been sending out invitations to a media event set to take place on September 12. It has a cryptic message that reads: "It's almost here."
The invitation doesn't specify what "it" is, but the shadow casted from the 12 makes it fairly obvious what its referring to: the iPhone 5.
It's widely expected that the event, which will take place in San Francisco on Wednesday, September 12, will unveil the sixth generation iPhone. The event beings at 10:00am PT.
A fall release for the iPhone 5 has been anticipated for quite a while now. Some rumored features include a slightly larger screen, a faster processor, a smaller dock connector, and possibly NFC technology for easy payments through the phone.
