Torchlight 2, the action role-playing game intended to rival against Diablo 3, is finally scheduled for release.

Via the community forums, Runic Games designer Travis Baldree revealed that the game will arrive for PCs on Thursday, September 20 — three weeks from now.

The game is listed for $19.99 on Steam and features multiplayer, moddability, new game plus, and more.

Runic Games may have been smart for waiting — as popular as Blizzard's series is, Diablo 3 didn't have the best launch and ran into a slew of post-release problems, such as conflict over sustainable end-game content and account hacks.
