NewsPlanetSide 2 consumer NDA lifted
Get ready for a whole bunch of PlanetSide 2 coverage, because SOE has lifted the game's consumer NDA. Just in time for PAX, show attendees and beta testers can now share, live stream, and openly discuss their experiences with PlanetSide 2.
External testing for the highly anticipated massively multiplayer online first-person shooter kicked off on August 3rd, and has already seen a massive amount of participation from fans. Celebrating the lifting of the NDA, SOE has revealed some impressive beta statistics:
- 8.5 billion points of damage done to players
- 5.8 billion points of damage done to vehicles
- 535 million shots fired
- 194.6 million shots hit
- 6.3 million player deaths
- 2.3 million rockets launched
- 571 thousand grenades thrown

Empire allegiance breakdown:
- Terran Republic: 34.67%
- New Conglomerate: 32.96%
- Vanu Sovereignty: 32.37%
As for PAX Prime, it will be the first consumer showing of PlanetSide 2 in North America. Stop by the Sonly Online Entertainment booth and you can have a chance to go hands-on with the award-winning MMOFPS. PlanetSide 2 will release as a Free-To-Play Your Way game for PC via digital download later this year.
