And you thought Robert Downey Jr. didn't do his own stunts. As it turns out, RDJ was injured on the set of Iron Man 3 while performing a stunt and now the movie, as it stands, has temporarily halted production.

The movie is slated to release May 3, 2013 which is less than a year away, let's hope that the injury to his ankle isn't too serious. I need my Iron Man fix after all.

Marvel Studios issued this statement:

"Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates."

Short delay huh? They must be using some Tony Stark technology to fix that ankle right up.
