NewsRelive your Final Fantasy VII memories all over again starting today
As we reported back in July, quite possibly one of the most Final Fantasy titles to date was scheduled to come out on PC as a re-release with some updated features. You can now rest easy as today is the day. Final Fantasy VII is officially available on the Square Enix eShop for a promotional price of $9.99 for 30 days, at which point it will jump to $12.99.
For 10 bucks, you really can't go wrong. You'll get to re-experience all those great moments you did back in 1997. To feel like you're playing in the year 2012, FFVII will now include Achievements, Cloud Saves when you want to play on multiple computers, a Character Booster which will help max out stats in a pinch, and will be optimized for latest PC's, which unfortunately doesn't mean the whole game will get a nice HD redesign.
If for some reason you've never played FFVII, or decided to not ever board the Cloud Train back in 1997, this is probably the best time to do so. You'll just have to get over those horrid looking polygon characters.
