NewsSpecial Dust 514 closed beta event announced for PlayStation Plus members

CCP Games announced a special closed beta event for Dust 514, their upcoming free-to-play massively multiplayer first-person shooter. The Dust 514 beta event will take place from August 21 to September 4 and is available exclusively to Sony PlayStation Plus Subscribers and those who have already purchased the Mercenary Pack or have All-Access Passes.
August 21 also marks the release of the "Precursor" update. This update, detailed last week, includes the first live Dust/EVE Online integration, Orbital Strike framework, instant battle matchmaking, new environments, keyboard and mouse support, and much more.
As a bonus, PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive a 50% discount on the Mercenary Pack for Dust 514 during the beta event. The Mercenary Pack gives players unlimited beta access, as well as in-game currency, skill boosts, and exclusive gear.
Dust 514 is currently in closed beta with plants to enter Open Beta in 2012.
