News'Bill & Ted 3' has a director, now it needs the year to be 1989
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter (the other guy from Bill & Ted) is one step closer to making a genuine sequel with Bill & Ted 3. Director Dean Parisot has signed on to direct the movie, with the script already penned by the original creators Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson. Parisot is best known for directing the hilarious Galaxy Quest and the Jim Carrey comedy Fun With Dick and Jane. He's also working on Red 2.
This third movie isn't a spoof or reboot — it's a genuine threequel to make it a trilogy. While MGM Pictures still own the rights to Bill & Ted, the movie is being shopped to other studios to co-finance it. The big question is whether or not people want another Bill & Ted? Do we want to see an older Ted Logan and Bill S. Preson, Esq. get back into the phone booth as older versions of themselves? Will it be excellent dude? Or bogus?
