So you've been a lifelong PlayStation fan. You've owned every console to date. You've spent countless hours with the DualShock 3 controller.

And now you want something new.

Sony has heard the many fan requests for new DualShock 3 colors and while they've introduced new ones throughout the past few years, they are aren't ready to stop listening. In fact, they are actually turning to fans to design the next DualShock 3 controller.

Sony has announced a new competition, of sorts, for gamers to design and submit their own idea for the design of the next DualShock 3 controller. Ending August 15th, you can submit what you want the next controller to look like.

Your idea can be based on your favorite game, ideal color, whatever you want. At the end, all PlayStation fans will get the chance to vote on your idea.
