Remember that image 2K Sports teased of Michael Jordan in a recording booth for some "big announcement" regarding NBA 2K13?

As it turns out, the announcement may have nothing to do with the legendary basketball player, but instead another icon.

In a "leaked" trailer on Jay-Z's Life and Times website, His Airness voices over gameplay clips of NBA 2K13's cover athletes. The big announcement?

Jay-Z is executive producer of NBA 2K13. That's all.

It's unclear what type of contributions the rapper-turned-entrepreneur will be making to the game. The trailer features Hov's "Public Service Announcement" from one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, The Black Album.

So what does this mean? Given Jay-Z's international star power, it definitely puts 2K's NBA 2K13 in the limelight, but it also could mean Jay-Z is having some impact on the game's soundtrack - which is definitely a good thing.
