NewsComics writer Daniel Way penning Deadpool game
Daniel Way, the popular writer on the Deadpool comic book series from Marvel, is in charge of the story for the upcoming game.
The Merc with a Mouth will come to Xbox 360 and PS3 next year, and we already know Nolan North is reprising his role as the character. He previously voiced Deadpool in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, and the animated movie Hulk Vs.
Given Way's success with the Deadpool comics, the game is probably in good hands, but as we know from comics scribe Paul Dini (who worked on Rocksteady's Batman games), writing for a video game is different than writing for comics or film.
"When you're writing for a game — even if you're using very well known characters like Batman and his villains who lend themselves to many different interpretations — you have to keep in mind that you're writing for a different medium," Dini told The Telegraph in 2009.
