So when ThinkGeek, The Wand Comnpany, and BBC Worldwide get together… a pretty amazing Dr. Who universal remote is made.  Wait… a what?  It is a television remote that is modeled after everything you love about Dr. Who.  The Mark VII Sonic Screwdriver used by the 11th Doctor, Matt Smith, is the gesture based remote control you didn’t know you absolutely needed.

Via inferred technology, the wand can be programmed for nearly any entertainment device; from televisions to iPod docks.  Despite being without buttons, the Screwdriver can still perform 39 commands with just one hand via 13 different short gestures.  Such movements include rotating, flicking, and tapping – it’s not a ‘Bop It.’

This bad boy will be shown off at San Diego Comic-Con, on July 12th 2012 at booth #3629.  It sells for $99 but is currently sold out.  Check out the video below and the specs that follow.  This was made for you wacky Dr. Who fans out there.
