Ada Wong campaign hidden in Resident Evil 6 demo files

Up until now we've been led to believe that Resident Evil 6 will feature three separate campaigns that each center around a different protagonist. While that may be true of the game at launch, Capcom may have some future plans – potential DLC – that involve Ada Wong.

Files uncovered in the Resident Evil 6 demo suggest a fourth campaign that could star series regular Ada Wong. Data relating to Wong's sections of the story were spotted by users on both NeoGAF and GameFaqs including being armed with her signature grappling hook.

Her partner is mysteriously labeled "Helper" in the game files, but character data has also been spotted for Carla, the blonde woman who Ada is seen investigating in the game's E3 trailer.

"While it is correct that at E3 we confirmed that Ada Wong would feature in Resident Evil 6, we have no comment on the reports that are currently circulating," a spokesperson told Eurogamer.

If true, Ada's campaign would bolster the game's current lineup of single player characters that include Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Jake Muller, son of Albert Wesker. As it is, Resident Evil 6 already stands to be double the length of its predecessor. According to producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, each individual campaign is "probably around 70% to 80% of the volume of the whole game in Resident Evil 5."

Other multiplayer data files have been uncovered as well, including the already-confirmed Mercenaries mode along with Slayers, a mode in Resident Evil 5. New modes, No Hope (also titled Last Stand) and Ustanak (a monster in Resident Evil 6, also titled Agent Predator), were also mentioned.

If I were to guess, I'd say Capcom will include the Ada Wong campaign in some sort of special edition version of the game and offer it later as DLC for those who purchase the standard edition.
