NewsNamco preparing to make Super Smash Bros. announcement?
Namco Bandai is teasing something "All-Star Battle" related. Obviously, my first thought is Nintendo's mascot brawler, Super Smash Bros.
Despite the misleading text that could easily be mistaken for Sony's PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which also features famed characters battling it out, Namco Bandai has already been confirmed to be working on the next Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo, Super Smash Bros. is also known for taking its iconic roster of all star characters and pitting them in a ring to battle until death. In fact, Nintendo did it before it was cool to make famous characters fight against each other.
The new site doesn't reveal much, showing only a few various real-life photographs and a countdown to this upcoming Thursday. With Nintendo recently confirming that Super Smash Bros. is in the works, the production is still "very early on," according to creator Masahiro Sakurai.
Seeing as how the project is still early in development, I doubt we'll get any concrete information about the next Super Smash Bros - if that is indeed what this is teasing.
