NewsSimCity scheduled for early next year
Electronic Arts has revealed that the next SimCity will arrive sometime in February 2013.
Maxis is developing the game, which requires a constant internet connection. Producer Jason Haber describes the feature as "totally worth having." We'll learn more about it during this week's E3.
Haber also called SimCity a multiplayer game "from the ground up." So far we know that cities can interact with nearby areas to trade and sell resources in support of a makeshift global economy.
Players can respond to the Sims in their cities by completing pledges and unlock rewards and achievements by fulfilling their basic demands. The game allows players to specialize in specific industries, build customizable structures, and more.
EA will publish the game, which features fully realized 3D graphics for the first time in series history, for PC.
