NewsYouTube coming to PS Vita in late June
YouTube will be coming to the PlayStation Vita handheld at the end of June, SCEA's Don Mesa confirmed today.
The free downloadable app will be available via the PS Vita Store giving you access to millions of YouTube videos on the go - in the event you didn't have your cell phone on you. Then again, watching videos on the Vita's stunning 5" OLED screen could be pretty sweet.
The app will allow you to search for videos, choose favorites and make comments, and even allow you to log in to your personal YouTube account.
"PS Vita was developed with the idea of creating and delivering compelling content for gamers," Mesa wrote on the PS Blog. "With the recent announcements of applications such as nico nico, Treasure Park, Wake-up Club, and Skype, we’re continuing to build out PS Vita’s portfolio of applications."
The YouTube Vita app will be available in the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
