We're still waiting on a more formal announcement, but according to a report from GoNintendo, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate is coming for the 3DS.

Nintendo Power magazine confirms the rumor. MercurySteam, developers of the original Lords of Shadow game for PS3 and Xbox 360, are resuming their role for the sequel.

The game allegedly follows Trevor Belmont. Light and shadow magic returns, along with Trevor's version of the Combat Cross. Players can unleash strong attacks with the X button, wider attacks with Y, and secondary weapons such as the glaive (similar to a boomerang) and electric bomb with A. Trevor will grab enemies with the R button and block and dodge with L.

Players can launch foes into the air and unlock combos by spending experience points.

Chances are Konami will unveil more at this year's E3. Stay tuned for an announcement on the teaser website in two days.
