NewsShadows of the Damned director working on 'movie-length' IP
Game director Massimo Guarini is developing a new IP that takes a middle ground between excessively long games and cheap impulse buys.
After finishing his work on Shadows of the Damned with the game's creators Goichi Suda and Shinji Mikami, Guarini moved to Italy and started his own studio, Ovosonico. His first game there is a new IP in early development.
“All I can say is that I want to craft memorable experiences," Guarini said. "There is so much more to be explored besides throw-away iPhone games and 40-hour long traditional productions. I think the best way for us to achieve our vision is to provide a rich emotional experience packaged in a movie-length time frame, and possibly sold at a reasonable price."
The indie studio is seeking programmers and a senior game designer. Check them out on Twitter and Facebook.
Wondering about Ovosonico's logo? According to the company, "Talents who work with us are called Eggheads. Eggheads are naturally attracted by our strong personality and are recruited from the most talented and creative minds in the games industry."
