NewsXenoblade Chronicles dev working on Project X Zone
We already know that Capcom, Namco Bandai, and Sega are all in cahoots as far as the tactical RPG Project X Zone is concerned. Characters from across all three companies will appear in the upcoming 3DS game, and it definitely looks like a collaborative effort worth watching out for.
You can now add yet another company to the list, because Monolith Soft has just been revealed by Famitsu as the developer behind the game. The studio most recently gained notoriety for developing Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii, but it should be noted that Monolith Soft previously worked on Namco X Capcom, too.
So yeah, Monolith Soft kind of has experience working on these types of crossover titles. Here's hoping Project X Zone for the 3DS provides gamers with a compelling and rewarding tactical RPG experience. We haven't really seen anything like this on Nintendo's handheld, so it could really pave the way for some awesome projects if it succeeds.
