NewsSkyrim mod downloads surpass 13.6 million
Skyrim mods have been downloaded more than 13.6 million times since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Creation Kit and Skyrim Workshop were made available to users in February.
Bethesda revealed the impressive numbers via Twitter, adding: "PC mods FTW."
Skyrim's Creation Kit grants players access to the same tools Bethesda used to develop the game, allowing modders to create unique, user-generated content. The Workshop is simply a hub for the latest mods complete with ratings and automatic downloads.
The amount of mods downloaded is just a testament to the popularity of Skyrim on PC. Skyrim became the fastest-selling game in Steam history and, in January, helped the digital platform surpass the five million concurrent user mark.
And yet, the Xbox 360 is still the first platform to get the upcoming Skyrim Dawnguard DLC.
