Starhawk has officially gone gold!  LightBox Interactive president Dylan Jobe made the announcement via the PlayStation blog, where he also detailed two exclusive items that will be given for free to those who participated in the Starhawk beta.

The first item will be The Hand of the Founder.  This is an exclusive character accessory for anyone who simply participated in the Starhawk beta.  This item is a "gold, glowing, atom-looking thing" that is bonded to your characer's right hand.

The second free item is the Warhawk Paint Set which includes two exclusive vehicle paint schemes that you can use to customize any of your vehicles in Starhawk.  The Warhawk Paint Set is available to any Starhawk beta tester who was also a Warhawk player.  You will receive the olive-drab military look of Warhawk's Eucadians as well as the stealthy, black and gunmetal look of the Chernovans.

Neither of these items will ever be re-released or sold.  They are intended to be "very special 'thank you' items".

Starhawk is set to release on May 8th exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
