NewsMass Effect 3 'Operation Exorcist' detailed, unavailable for PS3
BioWare has detailed this weekend's upcoming Mass Effect 3 multiplayer challenge, Operation Exorcist.
"When it comes to retrieving classified data, Cerberus has been beating the allied forces to the punch. New intelligence has tipped us off to one of their offensives, and it is time to give the N7 teams the payback they want."
The allied goal tasks you with killing 1,000,000 Cerberus Phantoms. Successful completion of this goal will grant all players a Victory pack.
The squad goal is to survive until extraction on any map and any enemy on Gold difficulty. This will award all squadmates with a Commendation pack.
Unfortunately, this multiplayer challenge will only be available for Xbox 360 and PC users. It looks like EA, BioWare, and Sony have still been unable to reach a settlement about bringing these promotions to the PlayStation 3. Two weeks ago, BioWare outed Sony as the one responsible for PS3 fans being left out of weekly challenges, saying Sony has "not yet approved the promotion." A Sony representative recently said the companies were "working together" to bring the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer weekends to PS3, but so far they have nothing to show for it.
