Alan Wake's American Nightmare may be headed to Steam, according to notes found in the service's registry.

American Nightmare, the continuation to Remedy Entertainment's third-person action thriller, came to XBLA earlier this year — around the same time the original Xbox 360 title moved to Steam. Leaked registry information tipped gamers off to that release, as well.

Alan Wake currently costs $29.99 on Steam for PC. If rumors are true, we should have the add-on soon enough.

Meanwhile, creators Remedy Entertainment are working on a project "targeted at future generation consoles."
