Former Call of Duty creative strategist Robert Bowling opens new studio

Robert Bowling parted ways with developer Infinity Ward last month, and he hasn't wasted any time in moving forward. The former Activision employee is opening his own studio, Robotoki.

“I wanted to create an environment where the creative vision holders held complete control over their work and could guide and maintain it from concept to execution," Bowling told Game Informer. "This is why I chose to completely self-fund Robotoki and have chosen to only work with partners who were supportive of that model.”

Robotoki's first release will appear for next-gen consoles, PC, and mobile devices. Bowling explained his vision for multi-platform play.

“However, how they experience the world is unique to their device," he said. "The mobile / tablet experience should not mimic the console or PC experience, it should be additive to it, not supplemental. Allowing them to support their console and PC experience, continue their progression, but by experiencing the world in a meaningful and unique way.

“Our focus is creating an experience that is no longer strictly single player, strictly co-op, or strictly multiplayer, but adapting the strengths of each of these into a unique experience that is fueled by the actions and contributions in each," he added.

Robotoki is currently seeking job applicants.
