NewsCall of Duty website source code strongly suggests Black Ops 2
You don't need to be a genius to realize the next Call of Duty title will most likely be Black Ops. For quite a while now we've had rumors, leaks, etc. all pointing to Black Ops. But despite the many hints, Activision has not yet come out and announced it. Adding to this mound of rumors, we've uncovered new evidence that strongly suggests the next Call of Duty installment will be Black Ops 2.
Looking through the recently revamped Call of Duty website, which now teases an upcoming "World Reveal" for this year's installment of the franchise, you may not see much at first; you see the faint outline of a blurred soldier who resembles the one on the cover of the original Black Ops (and shown in the recently leaked "poster"), a few "classified" televisions, and the countdown until the official reveal.
Below the countdown is the copyright text: "© 2012 Activision Publishing, Inc. Activision and Call of Duty are registered trademarks. All other trademarks and trade names are the properties of their respective owners."
So the next best place to look for hints? The source code. Looking at some of the meta details we found copyright text that actually differs from that seen on the page. It also basically confirms Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - or at least a Black Ops-themed game.
The copyright meta content reads: "2012 Activision Publishing, Inc. Activision and Call of Duty are registered trademarks and Black Ops is a trademark of Activision Publishing, Inc. All other trademarks and trade names are the properties of their respective owners."
Activision has obviously left out the Black Ops trademark from the visible text on page, leaving it only in the page's meta text. Why would they intentionally leave it out? That's a rhetorical question, they are obviously waiting for the reveal.
