NewsLevel-5 might continue Ni no Kuni series if successful in the US
Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino recently admitted his interest in continuing the Ni no Kuni story if the game proves successful in North America.
Hino is optimistic about the game's prospects in the US. Although the title sold moderately in Japan, it has raked in a larger profit overseas. The company's past endeavors, such as Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle, exhibited a similar pattern, faring much better in other regions than their native one.
Level-5 has established a fan base here with the Professor Layton series, and Studio Ghibli has also developed an audience thanks to movies like Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. Its latest film, The Secret World of Arrietty, debuted in theaters earlier this year.
