NewsA Game of Thrones, imagined as a 2D fighting game
George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones fantasy series is percolating pop culture with just about everything you can think of — a popular television show, a line of comic books, board and card and tabletop games ... even a strategy video game and an upcoming RPG.
That's not enough for DeviantART user Dynamaito (artist Roberto Flores), who recently created fan art depicting the game as a 2D fighter.
"The battle scene took about three days to complete," wrote Flores. "I used photo blue lead, pencil, PS CS5, Paint tool sai, a bit of google sketch up, some textures and photos, all while listening to Tenacious D, Dragonforce, Rhapsody and a shit load more of music."
The artist even has a few ideas for potential developers.
"Personally, I would love if a company such as Capcom, Arksys, or Playmore SNK picked up the rights to do a 2D fighter," he continued. "Hell, I’ll take 3D there’s nothing wrong with that."
We're on board for that, Roberto!
