NewsPlayStation Vita sales in Japan drop below 10K
The PlayStation Vita sales in Japan have dropped to a new low. Sales have dipped below the 10,000 mark for the first time since the system's release late last year.
The Vita sold only 8,931 units last week, but it should be noted that nearly all systems saw a drop in sales including the red hot Nintendo 3DS.
Still, despite a 50K drop, the 3DS managed to move 72,115 units.
The only console that saw an increase in sales was the Xbox 360 which managed to sell 3,764 (up 300% from the previous week). This was likely due to the release of Kinect Star Wars.
Here is the full sales chart in Japan (via):
- 3DS: 72,115 (Last week: 121,921)
- PlayStation 3: 19,370 (23,771)
